We joined together with long-term collaborators DrawHistory to give the ASeTTS website a fresh look.
The site makes use of custom Gutenberg blocks to ensure layouts are smooth and versatile. Having page layouts separated into reusable components is great for many reasons including:
- it gives the client enough freedom to make changes to the layout
- it’s restrictive enough to ensure nothing goes wrong
- it allows the client to create new pages without paying a developer
Finding this middle ground when building a site is key. Otherwise a client risks falling into one of two common traps:- having to consult a developer when there is not enough freedom to make small changes- being handed too much control and needing to spend extra to get things fixed.
Thinking about this ahead of time allows for a smoother implementation of features. In turn, this translates to a more streamlined development process.
